Starting the new year on a sweet note. I made this quick dessert – Fig Halwa / Fig Fantasy, on the 1st of January.
Figs : 150 grams
Warm Milk: Enough to soak the figs
Ghee (clarified butter) : 4 tablespoons
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
Condensed Milk: 1/4th of 200ml tin
Slivered almonds: for garnish
- Soak the figs and keep aside for an hour. Blend this, to a paste
- Heat the ghee and add cardamom powder
- After few seconds, add the fig paste
- Mix and fry well
- Add condensed milk and stir well
- Fry it leaves the sides of the pan
- Garnish with almonds
- Serve
