Fruit Pie…that burst of colours with fresh and juicy fruits

There is a lot you can do to a pie crust…make a vegetable quiche, greek Pita or croissants (which I will show how to in my next post. Fruit pie is an excellent make-and-take-it-to-your-host’s-house-for-dinne-for-which-you-are-invited kind of dessert option; which is exactly what we (me and my friend from Switzerland did). It surely is a winner!

Seasonal fruits (mango, kiwis,orange,pears,apples,strawberry, etc)

  1. Slice all fruits. Ensure you remove all pips & seeds!
  2. If you are using mango, remove the skin
  3. Squeeze about 1-2 tsp of lemon juice on the fruits and set aside
  4. For additional taste make a thick paste of mixed dry fruits (Cashew, almonds, walnuts etc) using 1-2 tsp of milk and spread on the pie base
  5. Assemble the fruits on the pie crust
  6. Sprinkle some sugar if required (optional)
  7. Serve!
